Salgaocar Football Club introduced the ‘Baby League for fun and laughter’ for the children in two age groups of under 8 and under 10 years for the very first time in Mormugao taluka in 2018. Four teams from Mormugao participated in each of the groups viz., Salgaocar FC, Regina Mundi Football Academy, Just for Kix, and Ace Football Academy. A total of 100 children were engaged in the baby league and played a total of 36 matches.
In the second edition, a total of 14 teams participated comprising of 10 participants each in the age groups of U-8 and U-10. The League saw a total of 49 matches. Participation certificates were distributed to all 140 participants on the final day of the League
Simultaneously, SFC’s U-8 and U-10 teams participated in the Little Gaurs League organized by Goan FC, where our U-10 team emerged victorious.
The U-10/12 teams participate in the Little Gaurs League, Salgaocar FC’s baby league and any private tournaments held in Goa as there is no official competitions for the above age groups.
